- Bill Deslippe, Chef & Owner Smashed Apple
In the Beginning...
At the age of 16 Chef and Owner Bill Deslippe began his cooking career in the greater Toronto area where he worked in top restaurants under distinguished Chefs. Spending most of his career in Western Canada, Chef Bill cooked in world-class ski & golf resorts and restaurants including Lake Louise Mountain Resort, RK Heli Ski Lodge, La Bocca and La Brasserie, Squamish Valley Golf and Country Club as well as Copper Point resort in Invermere B.c. Because of this world-class experience an appreciation for exceptionally high standard of food quality and service has become a standard that Chef Bill focuses on to this day.

In 2009 after working in the industry for eight years, Chef Bill enrolled at the Liaison College of Culinary Arts in Oakville Ontario. A top culinary school where he graduated with honors at the top of his class and achieved his Red Seal , a universally recognized and highly prestigious certification.

In 2012 prior to creating Smashed Apple Gourmet Catering, he worked for Outland Camps a large remote catering company. Travelling throughout Canada from Northern British Columbia to Nunavik he worked in many settings as a Chef, managing kitchens that fed anywhere from 30 to 1200 people daily.

In 2013 Smashed Apple Gourmet Catering and Food Truck was created. With it's humble beginnings Smashed Apple's innovation and creativity dominated the food truck scene, raising the standards by bringing a unique and quality menu.

In 2016 the demand for service enabled Smashed Apple to expande operations to a takeout location in Amherstburg, Ontario. The reception of Smashed Apple Takeout was so well received it was nominated as a finalist for the "2016 Best New Business" in the Windsor/Essex BIA Business Excellence Awards.
